Twenty-eight days came and went. February is always a busy month filled with travel and the promotion of MSOP. Typically, I am “on the road” for most of this month, with various events occurring throughout Tennessee. However, I was privileged to worship at the North Jackson Church of Christ on the fifth. Caleb Colley is their minister and did an excellent job on Premillennialism during both services. This subject is making the rounds constantly in our world, and I am thankful to see men like Caleb stand firm on the truth.
FHU Lectures
After worship, I made my way to Freed Hardeman for their lectureship. It was a blessing to see some of our graduates throughout the week! I also saw people from other events/congregations with whom I have connected over the years.
Anna church of Christ
After FHU’s lectures ended, I made my way to Anna church of Christ (Anna, IL) to preach on “Super Sunday” (12th). This congregation has always been generous to MSOP and it was an honor to be with them. MSOP has had a long standing offer to any congregation that needs a preacher that we will provide one if there is any: student, faculty, or myself as the recruiter that can come and fill-in. You can reach the school at contact@msop.org or you can reach out to myself at mclarke@msop.org to check availability.
Smoky Mountain Marriage, The Challenge, Eastside church of Christ Gospel Meeting & CYC
Finally, I made my way up to Pigeon Forge for several good events that occurred during the dates of February 13-26. First, I got to be in attendance for the Smoky Mountain Marriage retreat which was a blessing to my marriage. Then, I got to speak to a group of young people and the chaperones at “The Challenge” at the Smoky Mountain Resort (off of Apple Valley Road). This event has become a highlight for me the last two years and I have always seen brethren that are concerned for the youth of the church!
Then, the following Wednesday night I managed to go to hear David Sproule at the Eastside church of Christ close out his Gospel Meeting. You might remember that last month I mentioned that Wayne Rodgers is the minister here. This final night of their meeting greatly uplifted my mind to think about making it to Heaven. What a glorious thought that we can all make it to be with God! My last leg of the journey was CYC. I benefited by seeing many of my friends and brethren.
What a month it has been. March is still jam packed with opportunities for me to come and inform your congregation about the work of MSOP. Reach out and let us tell you how MSOP can bless you!
I would have gotten a picture with you at CYC if I had realized it would be part of your report!
